This month marks an important milestone for Complement with the rollout of version 2 of the platform, accompanied by a new AI engine and several functional improvements.

A new AI engine: Voice Live
After several months of overhauling our AI architecture, Voice Live is now available in beta. This new engine improves the fluidity of voice interactions with avatars, cuts response time by an average of three, and boosts the overall performance of the platform. The goal has remained the same since the beginning: to make every training session feel like a real conversation with a human.
A completely redesigned learner experience
V2 comes with a complete overhaul of the learner experience: a new interface, redesigned UX, smoother navigation, and new features.
Richer and more varied exercises
Quiz creation has been significantly enhanced. It is now possible to integrate MCQs, video content, and audio into exercises. These new formats make pedagogical activities much more immersive: role-playing, open-ended questions, blind tests, and exercise summaries and explanations.
Avatars adapted to every sector
Avatars are now available in multiple visual styles—casual, corporate, and medical—to match the specific industry of each organization. Bespoke outfits can also be created upon request.
Why this version matters
This V2 is not just a visual update. Since its inception, Complement has operated on a simple observation: traditional e-learning, consisting of static videos and disconnected MCQs, offers low engagement and poor retention. Our response is built on interaction—an avatar that presents, answers questions, and evaluates orally, in real-time.
However, the quality of this interaction depends directly on the technology powering it. With Voice Live, latency is reduced and interactions become more natural: this is precisely what makes large-scale conversational training credible. And with more varied exercise formats, instructional designers have a broader range of tools to build truly active learning paths, where the learner participates rather than remains passive.
For the e-learning sector, this evolution illustrates a fundamental trend: the shift from passively consumed content to experiences where every learner is individually supported. This is the direction we are following, with the conviction that AI does not replace human pedagogy, but augments it.
